Receive message - hp installer plugin has stopped working. i have tried to install the basic drivers for the d110a printer and receive the same failure message. pc is an acer notebook running 64 bit windows7.. I bought a new computer and my printer wont insall it saids hp installer setup has stopped working my printer is 4500 desktop all-in-one printer g510a i have windows 7 home premium 64-bit and internet explorer 9 i have downloads the drivers from the web siter and i have my cd and it still says the same thing please help. It does show that hp photosmart c6180 is compatible with windows 7 for both 64-bit and 32-bit computers. the drivers come from hp to make their computer compatible with windows 7. i would check the hp website to see if you have the latest driver set for your verison of the photosmart printer..
If the hp mfp is physically connected to and shared from a windows 7 computer that upgrades from windows vista and that have the hp full feature software solution or hp basic driver solution installed before upgrading to windows 7, all computers that are connected to that shared printer are affected.. Thanks for your reply mike, the hp software is actually fairly new, for an hp scanjet 3000 s2 just a few days old. we were able to confirm that it worked fine installing on another system, so fortunately we at least know the media is good.. Install or add a wireless printer. go to start > settings > devices > printers and scanners.; select add a printer or scanner.wait for it to find nearby printers, then choose the one you want to use and select add device.; if your printer is on and connected to the network, windows should find it easily..
